Heading "Welcome to All Saints'"Brief History and Information

The choir of All Saints' is the only all-male parish church choir in Australia. It is also the second oldest all male choir in Australia (with the cathedral choir of St Andrew's, Sydney, being the oldest). In a few years, we will be able to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the formation of the first choir at All Saints'.

The All Saints' choir enjoys a long and distinguished tradition of training choristers and of performing music of the highest standard. The choir has been recorded and has performed live for radio and television.

Many choristers who have enjoyed training at All Saints' are now professional musicians; naturally, a number of the leading church musicians in Australia have roots associated with All Saints'.

The repertoire of the choir reflects the anglo-catholic tradition of All Saints', with music ranging from Gregorian Chant and traditional Anglican Psalmody through the great sacred choral music of England and Europe to contemporary classical choral music.

The choir sings for Solemn Mass at 10.00 am on Sundays during the school term. As well, the choir sings for Evensong at 5.00 pm on the first Sunday of the month during school term. In addition, the choir sings for a number of high feast days, for example, Christmas.
